There are many kinds of poultices for drawing out boils or sores, but the best is the Orange lily. The roots are dug out of the ground, washed clean, and cut. Then they are boiled in water and the water turns into substance like corn flour.
Then it is applied to the boil or cut and draws out all matter and cleans it up.
Chicken weed is a cure for the common swelling known as the rose.
For healing wounds, boiled juice of the March mallow is used. This is a very common plant and has a small flour like a geranium.
