- Coopering: -
John Taylor, Beenaneasboig, Knockanure, who died in 1931 aged 74 years was a great cooper. He used to make pecks, tubs and butter firkins. He had a workshop near his house at Beenaneasboig and he also went around from house to house working. He brought timber from Limerick city, a special timber called "logs". He used to join the hoops with bulrushes. This was before nails and pegs were used.
Smith: -
There was an old smith in Kilmorna about 60 years ago. He went by the nick name of "Caper" Stack. He made nails and he was constantly employed by the OMahonys of Kilmorna. He lived in the land now owned by John Costello. The staple and block which he used in turning the bands of wheels are to be seen still in the place where he worked.- Bailitheoir
