- There is a hill near our house called Croc na Teine. This is how it got its name. One night there were two men coming home from a dance in Kiloe. When they came to this hill they saw a lovely big fire and heard sweet music. They could see nobody playing the music but it was coming from the direction of the fire. The two started to dance and they could not stop, they danced all night. Early next morning there was a herd going out to count his cattle and when he saw the state of the two men he said of them. Whey dont you pay the piper. One of the men named Beg threw a sixpence over at the fire.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
