    All the rebels colours waving in the dazzling golden light
    All the warblers gaily singing oe'r a treasured scene so bright
    Let me gaze upon the splendour in the city town or hall,
    But that Patriotic moment on that Sunday beats them all,
    High above all earthy pleasure one ideal I did admire
    Each oration, every action unto freedom did aspire.
    All the throng so reverential standing round that sacred spot,
    Scout and soldier, lady helper, Erin's leaders one brave lot,
    May that bravery spread more quickly like a mighty tidal wave
    Soon may every heart in Ireland think of Wolf Tone's hallowed grave,
    Year by year since he lay sleeping each good politician spoke,
    Told how Tone died for freedom - fought against the foreign yoke,
