  1. I spied from the Diary of Thomas Hurley Corlack, Ballymoe born in the year 1789
    A Cure for Wind
    Take a pint of the best Spirits and on it put the following-
    1/2oz of green aloes
    1 of ginger
    1 of jollop
    1 of bitter apple
    1 of Annaseeds. 1 of Borrianderseeds,
    1 of grains of Paradise
    1 of barrowayseeds
    1 of Kian pepper
    1 of Juniper Berries
    To be kept shook now and again for twenty four hours- Then add one pint of water to it and take about the full of a three go [?] of the [?] every morning.
