A week went by, - On the day appointed for the funeral to take place, all the gentry of the two Counties, and all the tenants and work men on the estate assembled at the Castle __ and the Coffin was borne to the waiting Hearse at the Hall door, __ the hearse could not be moved- nor, could all the men and horses on the Demesne put even a 'Stir' on the hearse.
Another week went by - then the OC __ Don journeyed to the Bishop's Residence to request the Bishop to intercede with the "Insulted Clergyman". The Bishop travelled to Castlerea immediately.
