    such as:- After milking the cow, dip the tip of your finger in the pail of milk and make the sign of the cross on her right hip.
    Others tie a red tape on her tail to keep the fairies from bringing the butter. When feeding the cows we say "Deasaigh theach". to the pig "furais, furais". to the calves "Suck, Suck". to the sheep, "chove, chove" to the geese "Beaidí beaidí" to the turkey ,"Bee Bee" and to the hens "Tioc Tioc". We put down about thirty sittings of eggs each year. First we get neat box and fill it with hay. Then we put about thirteen eggs in it, and lay the hen over them for about three weeks. Then the baby chickens comes out and we put them into large coops.
