Others tie a red tape on her tail to keep the fairies from bringing the butter. We put down about thirty sittings of eggs each year. First we get neat box and fill it with hay. Then we put about thirteen eggs in it, and lay the hen over them for about three weeks. Then the baby chickens comes out and we put them into large coops.
