Dall Glic told the King to tell Paudeen to bring forty tons of wheat also and to be back in twenty four hours. So off went Paudeen for the wheat. On his way to Galway the old mare lay down. Paudeen put the cart on his shoulder and kept going 'till he came to Galway. Then the King's brother got the wheat and put it in the cart. When Paudeen put the mare to the cart her back broke.
