    always.
    On bad nights people give shelter to these travellers but they never stay any longer than a night. These travelling people sometimes carry bread with them and when they go into a house they nearly always get a cup of tea with the bread. The alms they generally accept are a few coppers, some tea, sugar, bread, and meat.
    Some of these travelling people have to travel on foot but others have little carts to carry them. Sometimes they travel in bands and in families and sometimes they travel singly. The best known of the travellers are the Delaneys and the Collins. The Delaneys visit our
