    The soldiers got five pounds for the head of each priest they got, so the priests had to hide in the hills and lonely places. A priest named Father Seán hid in a field in the village of Lismirrane. He hid in a cave lest the soldiers should find him. Each morning he read Mass at a Mass-stone beneath a tree, while the village people watched from the hills, lest the (the) soldiers should come on them and kill the priest.
