    then put into a basin along with a little salt, boiled potatoes and flour, and when ready it was baked in an over or pan.
    During the famine, the people could not afford to have even one meal a day, and so they gathered "bliopgans"(?) and roasted them.
    In olden times for a great feast, such as Christmas, a family bought a stone of flour, pound of sugar and an ounce of tea, but when these were used, they did not buy any more until the following Christmas.
