    could do wonderful things, find out secrets and discover robberies. It so happened that a robbery of bedclothes took place a few miles from Kiltimagh. Some blankets and sheets spread on a hedge-row were stolen at night time.
    Superstition had a strong hold on the peasantry of the parish then, and they believed that Kielty could find out who stole the bedclothes.
    So the unfortunate woman from whom the articles were stolen came to Kiltimagh, and told her sorrowful tale to Kielty, and earnestly
