    If sea-birds fly inland it is a sign of very bad-weather, but if they fly towards the sea it is a sign of good-weather.
    Killala Bay sounds for good weather, Blacksod Bay sounds for bad weather, and Dunah Bay sounds for storms. The Deel sounds for rain up at a place called Cas Mór in Glendavoolagh, and it sounds down at Keenaghmore for good weather.
    If there is not froth on milk when it is milked it is a sign of cold weather.
    If cattle shiver in good weather it is a sign of bad weather.
    If hills seem near rain is expected.
    When goats are high on the mountains it is a sign of good weather, and when they are bad weather is expected.
