    because a man names Dennis Hegarty changed the course of the river in order to turn a corn-mill which he owned. He resided in this village. This river divided the village in two parts. The part on the west side of it is called Keenagh More, and the part on the east side is called Keenagh Beg. Keenagh Beg is smaller than Keenagh More.
    There are a church, a school, a post-office, and three lodges in the district: one in Bunaveela, one in Glandawoolagh, one in Keenagh.
    There is a lake in Bunaveela called Bunaveela Lake and hte lodge is beside it. It is situated at the bottom of a hill and the scenery is attracting. Tourists visit it during the Summer months and they go out on the lake in a boat and fish in it. They also go out on the bog adjacent to the lake with their dogs and guns
