- Tramps are very plentiful in this country. They travel from house to house every day begging for food. They carry a bag on their back into which they put their clothes and food. Some of the tramps get a lodging from the farmers in the lofts. Some of them are very nice and more of them when you would give them anything would want more. They have a stick to help them to walk. They farmers give them potatoes and worn clothes.
