- A Leprechaun is a very small man who is supposed to be mending boots and shoes every day under a dog-leaf. Long ago if there were any ghosts seen it was said that they were Leprechauns. Some people call them Bluracains. One day a man was walking along the strand and he saw a mermaid. It was partly like a fish and partly like a woman. He ran after it and he caught it. It gave three screams and after the three screams it died. When you would catch a Bluracain he would tell you that there was money belonging to him in a cave or some place like that. When you would go to the place were the money was ahide it would not be there at all. He would say that in order that you would leave him go.
