    Tá cuid mhór sean fhocal ins an ceanntar seo. Nuair a bhíonn fáinne thart ar an ghealach sin comhartha storm. Is trom an t-tualach an leisg sin sean fhocail a bhí ag na daoine i bhfad ó shoin. “Bean gan leanbh bean gan leithsgeal, sin sean fhocail eile atá ag na daoine thart fá’n áit seo. Nuair a bhíonn spótanna gorma sa’n spéir oidhche ghealaigh deir siad go bhfuil cladach thart fa’n ghealach. Is fearr an t-sláinte na na táinte ar chnoc. Is glas iad na cnuic i bhfadh uainn. Nuair a bhíonn an cat amuigh bíonn an luchóg istoigh. Is fearr a ghabhail a luighe gan suipear ar bith agus gan a bhéith ag éirigh gan breicféasta ar bith. “Dó réir a chéil dhéantar na caisleain.” “Is fearr féachaint romat na ag féachaint i do dhiaidh.” “Bíodh rud agat féin nó bí gan é.” Bríseann an dúthchais tré shuilibh an chait.”
