than an hour all lights and flares on the ship went out It was surmised that, at that time a large sea hd capsized her, depositing those gallant souls in the angry sea. Next morning the battered hull of the ship and some bodies were found washed up on Ballyaughrim strand near Portstewart. Not one of all on board lived to tell the tale of that awful night.

In the year of 1891 there came a four masted sailing ship She was blown by a gale on the rocks of Rossfad. The crew were all saved. The lifeboat went out and took in all the men. She was loaded with manure and they took the manure off her and they took here to Derry to get repaired
