Turning around and looking in the direction of Malin he addressed his escort and said
"Some of you may or may not live to see it but a day will come when the name of a Duncan will not be in Balach."
This has now come to pass. There is not now a Duncan in Balach.
A James Duncan (probably of the same family) who owned a good farm there and a substantial residence sold his place and went to live in the six counties (a change which I heard he regrets bitterly)- Collector
