    which could not be caught. One day a hunter with a powerful dog gave chase. The hare was badly bitten but it escaped into the hut. They entered, and asked an old woman who was sitting by the fire, where did the animal go. She told them she didnt see any hare atall. Whereupon the man saw blood on her clothes and he knew she had changed from a hare into her present form. He grabbed at her but she immediately assumed the form of the animal again and made her exit {?} it was never interferred with again.
