    That told the time each day
    I hear the prayers I often heard
    As twlight shades stole oer
    My pals and I on bended knees
    Upon that old school floor
    IV.
    And I can see the master too
    Now numbered with the dead
    Near Cahir town he sleeps to-day
    Within his cold clay bed.
    May his soul with Angels blest
    Repose for evermore
    Is the daily prayer of one he taught
    Inside that old school door.
    V.
    Alas since then the tide of time
    Has made a change on me
    And now my heart's blood rushing tide.
    Is not flowing half so free.
    The weight of years is telling fast
    On him who penned this lay.
    Beneath dear Kerrys snow-clad
    This bleak December day.

    While with God's oly aid I'll plough
    Lifes storm ocean waves
