- An Oyster-catcher went one day to the shore and killed a crab and if it had not been for the flow-tide he would have killed seven. He stood on a little stone and broke his leg.
He stood on a large rock and the waves broke over the top of it. He shouted to a seagull who lived on the other side of the loch.
"Are you in sister of my mother, Yes"
answered the seagull "For what purpose, for what purpose"
"To shape a knee-bandage for somebody for somebody"
"Though you are in great necessity, I cannot, I cannot.
Will you not come through the air to comfort me, to comfort me?
The seagull came through the air from the East and she shaped a knee bandage for the oyster-catcher, and then asked for the loan of his swimming gear for she wanted to visit her sister who lived on the other side.
