  1. The name of the Poet who lived in our district long ago was Paddy Fox.
    He lived at Coolaney about a hundred yards from the station of Leyny.
    He was buried in Killoran graveyard.
    There is no story as to how he got the gift of poetry.
    There were no poets among his ancestors it is said that the power of verse making came suddenly.
    He only composed English, no poets competed with each other nor attacked each other.
    These poets were farmers and used to compose songs
    They composed their songs in English
