    Saint Brigids crosses were made from straw and they were made small.
    The man of the house that generally made these.
    When made they were placed on the roof inside, and left there till the following year.
    The crosses for St Patricks were made from coloured ribbon's
    These were worn by the children pinned to their shoulders.
