    Down to the present day every Catholic child of Ireland heard about the penal times. The English came over to Ireland and would not allow the Catholics to practise their religion. They forbade the priests to say Mass under pain of death.
    The priests had to say Mass in an old deserted house or in the shelter of trees or ditches. To this day the people of Ireland point with pride to the
