   stones were used for building houses. The teachers name was Master Downs and the pupils came from Riverstown and all the surrounding districts as it was the only school in this parish at that time.
   In Carrow-Reagh there is the ruin of an old mill. Long ago flour and meal were ground there but after many years it fell to ruins and all that remains now are the walls.

   There are several old ruins in this neighbourhood. The nearest is the old castle of Behy. A man named Mac Donagh was the last to live in it. Local history tells us that Mac Donagh came home one day with the head of his father-in-law which he presented to his wife. The wife thereupon in a great rage went and cut the heads off her own three children and bringing them to her husband, said,
