  2. Long ago people took their breakfast at eight o' clock, their dinner at twelve o' clock, and their supper at six.
    For their breakfast they took buttermilk and oaten bread, for their dinner potatoes and salt, and for their supper buttermilk and bread. When dinner time came a pot of potatoes was put in the middle of the floor and everyone sat in the middle of the floor and ate them with butter and salt.
