There was a family named Spelman living in this townland. When all the family had died but one old man, he sold his house and place and went to live some other place. The ruins of this house are to be seen yet. There is the ruin of an old house on my farm, and the field in which it is, is called "the Old House Field". It was a family named Weir lived in this house. All this family died and there is none of them in this district now.
