down behind the ox mountains and that they had to have a living man along with them and they said that they would bring him. So the got ready their horses for the road. The battle was fought between themselves and an other party of fairies. Them all had magic horses except the living man. The put him on a bullock. When they were returning home they had to cross a dyke. All the horses jumped but the bullock jumped right into the middle and the man was all wet. One of the fairies waved her magic wand and the man came out as dry as if he had never fallen in. Ever after that he was never seen out late at night.
