great hurlers in Bunninadden. James Wynne was the best hurler in Bunninadden. The hurling stick was make of ash. Long ago there were no rubber balls and they had only a spool as a ball. Hurling was a very dangerous game in those days because the men were in danger of being struck with the spool. Many a time they got hit from the spool. There was were a few great weight throwers in Bunninadden. They generally thew a big rock of a stone a long distance. In those days the people were far stronger than they are now.
