No clogs or sandals are worn now either in Summer or Winter now people always wear shoes. Long ago the why the peopple did put on clogs is when December came and the snow was on the ground and it was raining people got what is called "hacks" and those were deep cuts in their shins and out in their insteps.
They then had to put on shoes to keep the cold away or those cuts would get blood poisoned.
The person that I mentioned that goes barefooted never has corns on her feet and she is the healthiest one in my district.- Informant
