- The land of Knockadoo is haunted. One night three good hardy fellows went to steal gooseberries. They started to pick and a big black cat appeared and walked before them to each bush and his eyes were glaring like a lamp. The boys got afraid at last and set off running - the cat followed them and as they jumped out across the boundary wall there was a man and woman standing on the road and as they watched the cat, the man and the woman disappeared through the wall. Many stories are told of Knockadoo and like Clogher nothing can ever be stolen from it after twelve at night for the Black Cat guards it.
