    was the Black Thief and he asked them what were they looking for. They told him they were looking for the White Steed of Bells and he said that he knew where he was. They went on and the Black Thief went into a giant's house. The giant was out and his wife told the thief that the giant order to have a child killed for his dinner. The (giant) th [?] said it would be a good idea to get him an animal instead. She made pie and put the animal's flesh in. Then she cut off the small finger off the child and put it in top of the [?]. The giant came in and his wife gave him the pie and he said it tasted like animal's flesh, so she said it was not and she showed him the finger. He was satisfied then and he ate it.
    The Black Thief took away the child. Years after this, the three [?]
