    is a lid on it with a handle across it.
    The "cappain" which is like a small dish with no bottom in it, and sits on the churn lid to prevent the milk from splashing. In the summer the milk is churned twice a week, and once a week in the winter. It is usually the woman of the house does the churning. It takes about an hour to churn, we churn by hand the staff goes upwards and down downwards
