    A Fairy Story.
About thirty-five years ago,the mails were carried by a horse and van. This particular mail-coach,which was driven by a man named King, left Cavan about midnight ,to arrive in Clones at three o'clock the following morning. When the mail-van was passing wattle bridge the driver of the van heard strange music and sounds. This continued for a long time till at last he made up his mind to investigate the matter.
Next night when approaching the spot he slowed down the horses and got off the van.As before,he heard the sounds.Moving softly, for as he thought if he did so they would not hear him,he got nearer to the sounds. The little people who made the sounds heard him and vanished, leaving their instruments and tools behind them. What happened after this is not known.
