    throat. He then put the frog out in a little damp house and the child improved immediately and next morning the father and heard the frog coughing and in a few days it died. The child was soon cured.
    To cure mumps put a pair of donkey's winkers over the child's head and lead him three times, on three successive days, round a spring well. The swelling will disappear in a few days. John Boylan, a native of Castleshane, who is at present employed by Mr. Clarke, Hillhall, remembers distinctly having been cured by mumps in this way.
