    water in the winter time.
When the churn is finished we take a bettle and rock the churn. This gathers the butter together. Then my mother takes the butter off into a butter dish and washes it four or five times. Then it is salted. She takes the butter-boards and makes the butter into hats. The buttermilk which is got when we churn, is used for many purposes. We make bread with some of it and give the rest of it to the young calves.
