- Once upon a time there was a man living at Meanus and he was supposed to be haunted by a devil. One night he left Killorglin very late with another man but when they came out of the town they were met by a fierce looking bull who kept on roaring all the time. He jumped four times on the road and vanished. It was said ever after that the Meanus road was haunted by the devil.
I heard this from my father and he says he heard it from his uncle and he heard it from his grandfather- Collector
