A cure for corns is a penny leaf. It is the shape of a penny and it is found in the side of a ditch. They boil it in milk.
A cure for rheumatism is to put nettles on the part until it blisters. A cure for cuts is to put a cobweb on the cut to stop it from bleeding. A headache is cured by snuffing up the fumes of whiskey in your nose. Toothaches are cured by putting whiskey in your mouth and leave it there for a while.
A cure for earache is to dip wool in olive oil and put it in the ear.
A cure for St Anthony's fire is to rub ink on the part where the disease is, or Cahill's blood to rub on it, Cahill's blood is the blood from a person named Cahill.(continues on next page)
