    years. When the surface stopped burning it burned up from under. All turf was burned. This was a great loss to the people as it served as fuel for many years.

  2. The wood of Bally Neale Inistioge was destroyed by fire about four years ago. All the wood was newly planted. It was burned acidentally by a man who dropped a bit of a cigarette on the brush-wood. The brush-wood took fire and then the trees took fire. Guards and some other men helped to save a small portion of the tress.
