Get a piece of a stick generally ash in the shape of a fork. Then get two pieces of rubber about ten inches long and half an inch wide. Attach them to the two upright sticks of the fork, with a cord. Then get a piece of soft leather and put two holes in it about an inch and a half away from one another and attach the rubber to it. Having this done the Catapult is completed - A hurling ball
First get four corks and nail them together and cut them so as they will be round. Then get strips of cloth and bind them round the corks. When big enough drive a number of inch nails through the cloth. The ball is then made.Model from a turnip
