  1. An old ancient "Garrison".
    In Ireland long ago, there was an old ancient "Garrison" on the old Dublin road leading from Scarva to Annalore. This "Garrison" was used for horse - soldiers surrounded by a longe wall that stood ten foot high on the top of the hill with a fine view of the lower valleys and the surrounding districts.
    Thee were some fine battles fought in former days about three hundred yards underneath this "Garrison" in the yonder valley. A mount stood ten feet high in the centre with a row of trees around the top of it. The captain stood in the centre of this mount. There were fine
