  1. The "Garrison".
    In the front of this "Garrison" stood a row of large sized beech trees and also an old walnut tree. These trees were supposed to break the view of this old ancient "Garrison" from the attacks of enemies. Each of these beech trees stood between thirty and forty feet in height.
    To the back of this old "Garrison" to the Clones side, there was a number of small sized squares marked on the top of the hill, with a high hedge around each of them which were supposed to be a safety from surrounding enemies from taking this old Garrison.
