    Boherkill is situated about mile out from the village. A road led to an old church which stood on the river bank. It commenced at Duffy's forge, and ended at a cemetery which was attached to the church. The cemetery was called the "Round Churchyard" on account of the circle of tree that surrounds it.
    Botar Spideóg means the road of the robins. It is about three miles from Rathangan.
    Ballygaddy is a place near this town. It means the "Robber's Road".
    Ballinure is a townsland three and a half from Rathangan. It is a grove of yew trees. Ballinure means yew tree.
    Bullysoogan is about four miles from Rathangan.
    Banrahan is the name of a place on the River Slate. It is said that a house once stood there.
    Ballykiln is situated about two miles outside Clonbullogue. It mean the "Town of the Churches". A number of churches is supposed to
