The name Breheny or "Judge" is quite a common one in the locality, but no significance is attached to it.
    23. Local Prejudice of one district against another.
The people south of the Clocgher bridge never liked the people of Cootehill, Knockvicar, Crossna or Keadue and this prejudice exists to the present day.
There was constant rivalry in boat racing and football matches. Dreadful fights with lead-laden ash plants used to take place in Morahan's field at Foxhill. It was not considered safe for a man to travel alone on the Glooria road to Keadue.
