    belief that if a person is standing on clay when he first hears the Cuckoo that he will soon die and if he is standing on grass he will (soon die) live to be an old age. In whatever direction a person is faced (to) when he first hears the Cuckoo that is the direction he will mostly be faced during the year. It is a local belief that if you kill a sparrow the cows will yield blood instead of milk.
