- Good Friday is the Friday before Easter Sunday. There is no Mass on Good Friday. Some people say a thousand "Hail Marys" on that day in order to bring some soul from Purgatory to Heven. People do the Stations of the Cross on that day especially. Everyone should cut his finger nails and toe nails (on) account of the five wounds of Our Lord.
