- Bread in the olden times was usually made from home grown wheat.
When the wheat was ripe it was reaped. It was then beaten upon a stone that it it was slashed. The grain was put in a pot near the fire to dry.
It was then made into meal by crushing it between two stones called(continues on next page)- Collector
