  1. Wooden vessels shaped as cups were used until saucepans were made. Tea was first introduced in the nineteenth century and big mugs came out. The by degrees nice china was made.
    In olden times people were hand making anything wooden. They cut a tree and from it cut as much wood as made the vessel in question
