  1. There are very few monuments of note in this locality with the exception of a cairn on the roadside near the boundary of Barngarv and Deelis.
This cairn marks the spot where a man of the Regan family was killed by soldiers when rescuing cattle from a pound in the locality. Judging by the tradition the event appears to have taken place about 100 years ago. The road still bears the name of "Leact na OIrean marb" and the elder people remember the casting of stones on the heap by passers-by while muttering a prayer for the repose of the soul of the departed. The custom of placing a stone on the heap has now died out.
